About Us:

The members of the Hickory Flat Volunteer Fire Department proudly serve an area of approximately 100 square miles with a population of over 12,000 residents. Our members, (volunteer, paid 24/48) meet every Monday night and utilize three stations strategicaly located in our community. We are located northwest of Atlanta Georgia in Cherokee county, between Canton and Roswell.

We currently have 3 pumper/engines, 1 pumper/tanker, 1 Technical Rescue Truck and an EMS Squad housed in 3 stations. We have an aggressive training staff that trains our members in fire suppression, EMS, extrication, rope, and heavy rescue techniques. We work in conjunction with the Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Management Agency to provide the highest level of "Community Oriented Fire Protection" possible.

Our Mission is to:

  • Protect our community from loss of life or property
  • Minimize suffering and damage due to fire, environmental emergencies, natural disasters and other catastrophes through prevention, education, and suppression
  • Service to our community

The Hickory Flat Volunteer Fire Department is dedicated to safeguarding our firefighters
