There is not constant talking. You will hear periods of silence.
You will only hear radio traffic when dispatch and Fire Service personnel are communicating.

Hickory Flat Vol. Fire Dept. is made up of 3 stations: Station 3, Station 23, and Station 32. Our membership use unit numbers when talking on the radio. Our members use unit numbers ranging from 300 to 399. Also,our apparatus designations of Engine 3, Air 3, Engine 23, Engine 32 and Tanker 32. Our Thermal Imaging camra has been given the unit number of 398 so that it can be refered to directly.

So if you here any of these numbers or designations then you are hearing Hickory Flat VFD.
